Welcome to Biterra: Let's Talk CTFs

Hey there.

We're excited to finally share Biterra CTF with you. Maybe you're curious what we're building, or maybe you're just here to see what the fuss is about. Either way-welcome.

So, What's a CTF Anyway?

If you're new to this: CTF stands for "Capture The Flag." It's a cybersecurity competition where you solve challenges to find hidden "flags"-little pieces of data that prove you got it. Think puzzle game, except instead of matching gems you're breaking encryption, reversing code, or poking at web vulnerabilities. People compete solo or in teams, rack up points, and climb the leaderboard. It's hands-on, competitive, and most people find it way more fun than a lecture.

Here's What Makes Us Different

There are plenty of CTF platforms. We wanted one that didn't feel like a spreadsheet. So we built an interactive world map: instead of a list of challenges in a menu, each challenge sits on a country. Solve it and you unlock that region. You're not just ticking boxes-you're taking territory. (With code, not armies.) The map makes it easier to see how you're doing and way more engaging than a flat list.

You can also make it yours. Your logo, your colour scheme. It's your competition; we didn't want it to feel like a white-label template.

Why We Built This

Security training is often boring. We wanted something that was actually fun to run and to play-whether that's a corporate training day, a workshop, or a full-on competition. It scales from a small team to a big event, and the interface is straightforward enough that you don't need to be a full-time devops person to get it running.

What's Next

We're shipping features as we go-real-time leaderboards, more challenge types, better customisation. If you're an organiser and you're thinking about running a CTF, have a look at pricing and see if it fits. If you're just poking around: we're glad you're here. Thanks for reading.
