Find and register for events from Discord

Servers with the Biterra Discord app can show upcoming public CTFs and receive announcements when registration opens.

If your server does not have the app, ask a member with Manage Server to follow the Biterra Discord app installation guide.

Find upcoming events​

Run this command in a server where the app is installed:

/events upcoming

Discord privately shows up to five upcoming public events with their schedules and canonical event links. Other channel members cannot see the response.

Register from an announcement​

Select Register under a Biterra event announcement.

  • If this Discord account is connected to Biterra, Discord asks for a team name. Submit the name to create an online team and register; Discord then privately confirms the result.
  • If it is not connected, use the private Connect account link, sign in with Discord, then select Register again.
  • If the event needs additional registration information, use Open event to finish on the event page.

Select View event at any time to open the event's canonical world URL.

Privacy​

Registration results and account-connection prompts are ephemeral Discord responses. Only you can see them. The bot uses the Discord account ID from the signed interaction solely to find the connected Biterra account.

Troubleshooting​

  • No /events command: Ask a server administrator to install or re-authorize the Biterra app with application commands enabled.
  • Account not connected: Sign in to Biterra with the same Discord account used to click Register.
  • Registration closed: Wait for the organiser to open registration or view the event for its schedule.
  • Team or access details needed: Open the event and complete registration on Biterra.
