Organisations
Your organisation is the workspace that owns worlds, billing, plan limits, members, roles, and Labs access. If you belong to multiple organisations, the selected organisation controls which worlds and billing information you see.
Admin page or public profile?
Organisation pages have two different contexts, and they are easy to mix up:
- The admin organisation page is for organisations you belong to. Use it to manage members, roles, invites, billing, plan limits, and organisation settings.
- The public organisation profile is for participants and visitors. Use it to view the organisation's public presence, open its events, and follow the organisation.
Do not use the organisation switcher or admin Organisation sidebar item to follow an organisation. To follow one, open its public profile from Hosted by on an event or from a direct profile link.
Create an organisation
- Open the Organisation switcher (dropdown with the current org name).
- Click Create Organisation.
- Enter name and choose a plan. Submit.
New organisations appear in the switcher. You will only see worlds for the organisation you have selected.
Organisation page
Select an organisation from the switcher (or click Organisation in the sidebar if you are an admin) to open its page. Common tabs include:
- Members - Who is in the org, pending invites, roles, role changes, and removals. See Organisation settings and Inviting collaborators.
- Billing - Current plan, limits, change plan, cancel. See Plans and billing.
- Usage - World limits, per-world capacity, launch runtime minutes, and prepaid launch-minute top-ups. See Organisation usage.
This admin organisation page is for managing an organisation you belong to. It is not the normal place a participant uses to follow an organisation.
Public organisation profile
Public organisation profiles are opened from public-facing links, not from the admin organisation switcher.
Participants can open a public organisation profile by:
- Clicking Hosted by on an event card or event page for an event run by that organisation.
- Opening a direct organisation profile link shared by the organisation.
Signed-in users can click Follow on the public organisation profile. Following an organisation makes its relevant public activity eligible to appear in the user's Feed.
Before creating worlds
- Confirm the selected organisation is the one that should own the event.
- Check the plan's world and user limits.
- Invite collaborators who need to help build or moderate worlds.
- Use organisation roles for broad access and world roles for one-world access only.
