Entering your world

The world control panel is where you configure and operate a single event's challenge experience. It opens in the World Portal, separate from the Customer Portal world details page.

Where: Worlds, click View details on the world, then click Enter control panel.

After you click Enter control panel, you are taken to the control panel for that world. The sidebar (or tabs) includes:

  • Home - Dashboard (challenge counts, active teams/users, event status).
  • Challenges - Create and edit challenges.
  • Challenge Bank - Import challenges from the bank.
  • Categories - Manage challenge categories.
  • Progression Editor - Set dependencies and choice groups (flowchart).
  • Announcements - Create and schedule announcements.
  • Logs - Score logs (approve/deny manual score entries).
  • Map Builder - Preview and adjust map presentation when available.

Use the control panel to build your map, set prerequisites, and run the event. For full docs on each part, see World (control panel).

When to use the control panel

  • Before the event: create categories, add challenges, import from the Challenge Bank, set progression, and schedule announcements.
  • During the event: monitor the dashboard, review score logs, make announcements, and adjust challenge availability if needed.
  • After the event: audit score logs, review challenge performance, and preserve the final setup for future reuse.

What stays in Customer Portal

Some setup still belongs on the Customer Portal world details page:

  • Event title, objective, dates, access type, team size, homepage content, branding, scoreboard settings, and integrations are in Settings.
  • World users and participant invites are in Users.
  • Team creation, team invite codes, and participation mode are in Teams.
  • Per-world boosts are opened from the world info card.

If you are trying to register participants, change event dates, or manage team invite codes, go back to Worlds > View details instead of using the world control panel.

Before you enter the control panel

  • Confirm the world belongs to the correct organisation.
  • Set the registration and event periods.
  • Choose the access type and team size.
  • Invite any world admins or moderators who need access.
  • Decide whether teams should be pre-created or player-created.
