World settings

Use the Settings tab to configure how your event looks, when registration opens, when play is live, who can join, team size, homepage content, launchable challenge behaviour, scoreboard rules, and integrations.

Where: Worlds, click View details on the world, then open the Settings tab. The Settings form is split into sections: Details, Personalization, Homepage, Launchable challenges, Scoreboard, and Integrations. Details covers title, objective, dates, access type, invite-only join access code, and team size. Personalization covers theme, logos, and subdomain. Homepage covers player-facing content and prizes. Launchable challenges covers instance mode and custom hosting fields when available. Scoreboard covers visibility, anonymous names, point scheme, and first strike bonus. Integrations covers Discord and music links. After making changes, use Save changes at the bottom of the form to apply them. For every field and option, see World settings field reference.

Changing Access Type asks for confirmation because it can affect who can discover or join the event. Invite-only worlds can also have an optional Join access code so players can register from the join page without a personal invite. See Access and visibility types for the practical differences between Open, Workshop, Invite Only, and Organisation Only.

Use Settings to

  • Edit event details, objective, schedule, and registration dates.
  • Configure player-facing appearance and homepage content.
  • Set access type, team size, registration rules, and invite-only access code.
  • Configure launchable challenge behaviour when available.
  • Configure scoreboard visibility and score-related display options.
  • Configure integrations such as Discord and supported infrastructure options.
  • Save all settings together with the footer Save changes button.

You do not invite individual users, create teams, or add challenges from Settings. Use Users, Teams, and Enter control panel for those tasks.

Inviting participants to this world

Participant invites are managed on the Users tab of the same world details page, not in Settings and not from the organisation page.

  1. Open the world, click View details, then open the Users tab.
  2. Click Invite User.
  3. Enter Email and Role, then submit. The user receives an email and must accept to join this world.

The Users tab lists existing world users, their world role, team, and joined status. Pending invite rows can be resent while valid.

For the full Users tab workflow, including how participant invites differ from team invite codes and organisation roles, see Users tab and participant invites.

World roles vs organisation roles

  • World roles only apply to the current world.
  • A world admin can manage that one world, but does not become an organisation administrator.
  • Organisation administrators and organisation world moderators are broader organisation-level roles managed from the organisation members page.

For organisation-level collaborators (who can manage worlds across the org, or access billing and member management), see Inviting collaborators.

Save behaviour

  • Settings are edited throughout the form but saved with the footer Save changes button.
  • Logo uploads are processed when you save.
  • DigitalOcean fields are only sent when custom DigitalOcean configuration is available for the world.
  • Use Cancel before saving if you want to leave the current edits unapplied.
